Lydia McCollin - President 

Lydia McCollin who is Vice President - Finance & Operations/Corporate Secretary, Consolidated Finance Co. Limited (a member of the ANSA McAL Group), is a Fellow and Practising Member of ICAB, and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She was appointed to Council for the first time in 2018, and has been the Chairman of the Ethics, Governance & Risk Committee since 2016, having served as Deputy Chairman on that committee from 2014-2015. 

Lydia has over 25 years' experience in the profession and started her career as an auditor with PriceWaterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers, SRL). During her years in public practices, Lydia lived and worked in Barbados, the Bahamas and St. Lucia, serving the financial and banking, retail, import, distribution, manufacturing, construction, telecommunications, tourism, healthcare and the port and harbour operations sectors. She also has proven expertise in driving efficiency and productivity through the evaluation of systems and the implementation of process improvements. 


Darshani Workman - Vice-President 

Darshani Workman is Finance Manager of Deloitte and Touche Barbados and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Darshani was admitted to ICAB in 2008 and elected to Council in May 2017. She has served on the Continuing and Professional Development (CPD) Committee and the 2013 ICAC Conference Planning Committee. Darshani is a former Chairman and current member of the Communications Committee which she has served since 2014 as a writer and interviewer. 

Darshani spent her early career in the nascent information technology industry in Guyana and then 11 years in Barbados in the luxury Real Estate & Hospitality related industries. Her focus was on accounting and taxation for International Business Companies, External Companies, Hotels and Property Owners Association. 

Cognizant of her civic duties and importance of giving back, Darshani sits on the Audit and Finance Committee of Optimist International, is an Ambassador of ACCA  and previously, a founding member of the Students' Services Council in Guyana while an ACCA student. 


Tracy Marshall - Secretary 

Tracy Marshall is an Assurance Executive Director with EY and brings over 16 years of experience serving clients in the retail, distribution, manufacturing and hotel sectors in Barbados and the OECS.  She holds a BSc. degree in Accounting from the University of the West Indies and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

A Certified Learning Leader with the EY Caribbean practice, she utilizes her leadership and coaching skills to serve as a counselor and mentor for over 20 employees.  

Tracy, a practicing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados since 2016 also serves as a Committee Member of the Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee.  She also previously served as a member of the Nominations Committee of ICAB and is currently the Employer Advocate for the recently created Local Chapter of ACCA.

As it relates to her professional philosophy, she believes and practices the words of Maya Angelou, “Nothing will work unless you do!”

She currently serves as the chair of the EY Insider Newsletter Committee, a monthly internal publication showcasing news and focus stories impacting the practice and is also a Trustee of the EY Management Ltd. Pension Plan.  Tracy finds balance for all her commitments via her love for yoga and fitness in which she engages at least 3-4 times per week.


Damian Brandford - Treasurer

Damian Branford is the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, Concordia Pharmaceuticals.  Damian is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and became a member of ICAB in March 2011. Damian has been Deputy Chairman of the Education & Student Services Committee since 2017, having served as a member of that Committee since 2016.   Damian is currently on the 2019 Accountants Week Planning Team.

     Lisa Alleyne
Lisa Alleyne is the Campus Bursar at the University of The West Indies, and has held that post for the past nine years. As Campus Bursar she is responsible for all aspects of the finances at the Campus. She worked at KPMG Barbados from 1998 to 1999 being engaged in audits ranging from telecommunications to offshore insurance companies, before moving to the University of The West Indies in December 1999. Lisa has a BSc (Hons) in Accounting, an MBA from Oxford Brookes University, and is a Fellow of the Certified and Chartered Accountants of Scotland, a Fellow of ICAB and a Member of Institute of Management Accountants (CMI). 

She joined ICAB in 2014 as a member of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee and later joined Council as a member in 2015. She is currently Deputy Chair of the CPD Committee. She held the post of Secretary of the Executive Committee of ICAB from 2017 to 2019


Rueben Blenman

Rueben Blenman, FCPA, FCGA, FCA, is a Chartered Accountant and the founder and Manager of Jamdos Management Services, providing accounting, consultancy and property management solutions since 2005. He was previously employed as a Financial Controller in the Tourism Industry for nine years. 

Rueben has been actively involved in the Accounting Associations for which he is a member. He has served CGA Barbados from 1997 to 2008, including holding office as President from 2003-2005. He was also the Caribbean’s Representative to the CGA Canada Board. Rueben served CGA Caribbean from 2008 to 2015 as a Director and chair of the Finance Committee. 

His dedication to the accounting profession is further manifested in his involvement with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB), having served on the ruling Council from 2003 to present, including holding the office of President from 2008-2010. Rueben has been the Chairman of the CPD Committee since 2016, having been a member of that committee since 2001, and has been a member of the Legislation and Membership Committees.

Rueben has also served on the Board of the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries from 2009. He previously held the office of President, and currently holds the office of Treasurer


J. Elizabeth "Betty" Brathwaite 
Betty Brathwaite was the Senior Partner at Deloitte, Barbados from 2017 – 2019, having previously served as the Office Managing Partner from 2013 – 2017. Betty has over 25 years of experience in audit, tax and corporate services, and her portfolio of clients has been wide and varied, and she previously served as Deloitte’s Director of Independence and Ethics Officer, with responsibility for Information and Technology and Brand Compliance for the Barbados office.

Betty became a member of ICAB’s Council in 1995 and was the 3rd female President of ICAB, having previously served as Vice President. She is a former Chairman of the ICAB Appeals, Advisory and Continuing Professional Education & Member Services Committees, and has been a member of the ByLaw Review Committee. 

Betty is a former President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) and has played a key role in the regional accountancy body since she was first appointed to the Board in 2001. Betty has previously served as the ACCA International Assembly Representative for Barbados, and is a former Vice President of the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries. She currently sits as a member of Council of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


Marilyn Husbands 

Marilyn Husbands is a Partner in Tax at EY. She became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) in April 2001 and is a Practising Member of ICAB as well as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). Marilyn was first elected to Council in 2019. She is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Taxation Committee having served on that committee since 2012.

Marilyn has over 24 years in the provision of audit and tax services in the financial services, retail, manufacturing, distribution, banking, insurance, hospitality and telecommunication sectors in Barbados and the OECS. She is a Certified Learning Leader in the EY Caribbean practice where she focuses on developing the knowledge and expertise of professionals across varying levels and backgrounds.


Sirpaul Jaikaran
Sirpaul Jaikaran joined the Barbados office of PwC East Caribbean fourteen years ago from Guyana. He has over seventeen years of audit and assurance experience in various industries. His primary role is providing assurance services to clients in the Private Clients space with a focus on hospitality. Prior to joining the Barbados office, he was part of the assurance team with a firm in Guyana.  

He is a key driver in the adoption of new technologies in data analytics and visualisations to improve efficiencies and quality at PwC East Caribbean. Sirpaul’s experience in hospitality, construction, manufacturing, retail and distribution and other sectors brings a wealth of knowledge which provides clients and teams with strong leadership.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, a practising member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from the Oxford Brookes University. He currently serves as a member of ICAB’s FutureTec Committee.


Ricaido Jennings
With 20 years of experience in accounting and finance most in senior positions, Ricaido Jennings brings varied knowledge and experience from a diverse background. Ricaido began his career in his native Trinidad and Tobago with PwC spending 10 years between their Trinidad, Barbados and London offices. He has worked in several industries including Manufacturing, Financial Services and Hospitality. He has also served in senior management positions in the financial services sector and electricity sector.

Ricaido has been the Director Finance of The Barbados Light & Power Company Limited (“BLPC”) for over 5 years.  In this position he is a member of the Company’s Executive with direct responsibility for leadership of over 60 dedicated professionals that make up the Finance Department which includes financial planning, reporting and analysis; treasury management; supply chain management and customer care. He also serves as a non-executive director of Dominica Electricity Services Limited and is a member of their Audit Committee.

Prior to his appointment at BLPC, Ricaido was the Senior Financial Officer at the CIBC FirstCaribbean International bank in Barbados.  He is a Fellow of the ACCA and has completed specialised training in utility regulation and advance public utility accounting.

Ricaido has been a member of ICAB’s Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee for over 6 years and currently serves as Deputy Chairperson.


Christina John
Christina John is a sole practitioner
with over 25 years' experience in the accounting profession working alongside a reputable Accounting firm to service clients and bring efficiencies to local businesses.She started her career as an auditor with KPMG where she worked on large to medium sized organisations gaining valuable experience in the telecommunications, educational and the financial sectors. Additionally, Mrs. John has spent 20 years in the Financial Services sector in private practice managing a portfolio comprising of International Business Companies (IBC’s).

She is currently the Chairperson of ICAB's Admissions Committee, having previously served as the Deputy Chairperson of that Committee since 2016. She also served on ICAB's Legislation Committee.

Christina is a qualified CPA Chartered Professional Accountant as well as a Fellow with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados.


Bruce McClean

Bruce McClean has been a member of Council since 2010, and is also the current Chairman of the Accounting & Auditing Standards Committee. Bruce is a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers with over 20 years of experience in the accountancy profession. Bruce specialises in providing assurance services to clients in the life and non-life insurance sector and is the Insurance Leader in Barbados. He also currently leads the technical and consultation group for PwC in the Caribbean and Barbados firm. 

Bruce is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (FCCA), Fellow of ICAB, and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, USA (IIA).


Wendy Sealy
A practitioner with 23 years of experience in the profession, Mrs. Wendy Sealy is the Managing Director of a local consultancy company.  She started her career at KPMG, gaining experience in public accounting having worked on small and medium sized engagements for clients in the telecommunications sector, credit unions and International Business Companies.

Wendy later moved on to Sagicor Life Inc. (formerly Barbados Mutual Life Assurance Society) where, after playing various roles, she was promoted to Vice President Finance.  Apart from being the lead in the Finance function at Sagicor Life Inc, Wendy played critical roles in various special projects throughout her career in the Sagicor Group, including business combinations and the demutualization.

Wendy is a Fellow of ICAB, as well as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (U.K.).  She became a member of Council in 2017 and a member of the Education and Student Services Committee from January 2018.  Wendy is a past Treasurer of ICAB and is also a mentor with The Cherry Tree Trust.


Damien Skeete 

Damien Skeete is a Junior Partner with Skeete Best & Co., and is a former Senior Accountant at KPMG Barbados.  Damien is an FCCA, and joined ICAB in December 2012, and was then granted a General Practising Certificate in May 2016.

Damien has been the ACCA International Assembly for Barbados since 2018, and was appointed to ICAB’s Council for the first time in 2019.  Damien is currently the Chairperson of ICAB's FutureTec Committee and is a  member of ICAB’s Communications Committee.  Damien is an avid sports enthusiast, representing his club team in Barbados’ First Division Basketball League.


Suzena Turton 

Suzena Turton is a sole practitioner who previously worked with KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers and EY where she was the manager on audits ranging from Banking and Mortgage Companies, Retail and International Business Companies.  Suzena is also a part-time lecturer in accounting at the University of the West Indies where she has been doing this from 1996.  Suzena first joined ICAB in 1996 and became a member of Council in 2016.  She is currently a member of the Admissions Committee.   Suzena is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). 

Election of Council 2021

The 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (Institute) will be held on Thursday, 10 June, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.

By-Law 20 of the Institute’s By-laws makes provision for the election of members to Council and states that “A member other than a retiring member of the Council or one recommended by the Council for election shall not be qualified to be elected a member of the Council unless notice in writing be given to the Secretary not later than the last day of April nor more than three months before the day for election by three members qualified to vote for such election of their desire to propose such person for election.  A statement under the hand of the person proposed for election of his willingness to be elected a member of the Council must accompany the notice.”  The nomination form may be used in this regard and emailed to the Secretary not later than 4:30 p.m. on 30 April, 2021.

There will be three (3) vacancies on Council to be filled at the 47th AGM.

In accordance with By-Law 20, members are invited to submit nominations of persons who may be interested in election to Council to fill the three (3) vacancies (as indicated above) for a period of three (3) years (2021– 2024).
